Booking Procedure and Whats app group communication:

Regarding bookings for the proposed upcoming trips for 2026 and 2027, please look at the dates of the proposed trips, and then also look at the information on our website page regardings things to know about climatic and weather conditions at various times of the year. Once you have decided which upcoming proposed trip date you are interested in participating in, you will then just need to send me an e mail to - info@livingstonesafaris.co.uk in order to establish the availability of a place on that trip, as each safari has a maximum capacity of 12 members, so as to keep the party managable and provide individual attention to each member in the group.

You will receive a reply with a basic questionaire requesting your details, your health and fitness information is also requested as I will need to know your basic health status and needs, along with food allergies and so on. Once the form is filled in and returned we will inform you of the space availability on that chosen trip, and if no spaces exist for that specific date, then I will suggest another date as close to your chosen date as we can offer. I will also include guidelines of what you should consider taking along or packing for that month of the year.

After all these formalities are taken care of, you will then be advised into which account you can deposit your booking fee, the booking fee is to secure your place on that trip, and the booking fee is Between £300 and £500 depending on the chosen safari you will be a member of. We try to fill the groups between 4 and 8 months before the departure date so as to have enough time in advance to book all the accommodation and flights well in advance. Your balance for the trip fee should be paid up in full at least 60 days prior to the start date, so if you are paying your securing deposit 7 months in advance, then it gives you another 5 months to pay off the balance.

2 Weeks before the start of each trip, a Whats-app group will be established for your specific group- and given to all the members the participating in the trip, this will allow inter communication between all members as well as between ourselves and all participating members. Keeping everyone up to date with any developments concerning their safari trip. Share information between everyone participating, so that when the safari starts all members will already be familiar with all the participating members.

Please be advised of the following regarding bookings and cancellations:

Securing your place:

£500 deposit, Balance to be paid in full 6 weeks prior to departure.

Once deposit is paid, your name/aka gets added to that trip members list, and you receive your whats app group link to that safari group.

Cancellations:

Should you cancel at least 3 months before start date, giving us enough time to replace you, then you will receive a full refund minus £200 administration fees. However if you decide to cancel within 90 days or less from the start date, you will need to find a replacement for yourself, as if we can not replace you and the flight and accommodation has already been booked in your name and we may not be able to receive a refund from the airline or from the Lodges. We will attempt to find a replacement at short notice and offer a discount which will be deducted from your paid fee, but should it be impossible to replace you at such short notice, you will forfeit your paid fee. We will also possibly be able to move a future member to an earlier date to cover your trip, and move your booking to where they had booked at a future date. .
